What Is CIPP?
Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) lining is a trenchless pipe lining process used in the rehabilitation and restoration of existing pipes without the need for excavation. It uses a felt liner tube and a liquid resin.
CIPP can be used to fix complications such as:
How Does It Work?
First, we’ll do a video inspection of your pipes to check their condition and diagnose the exact nature of the problem. We’ll then hydrojet or use other suitable pipe cleaning techniques to clear any clogs or debris that may be blocking the pipes. The next step involves installing a special pipe liner impregnated with a resin mixture down the entire length of your sewer or pipe. This is usually done from the manhole or excavation point.
Next, the liner is inverted or pulled into the pipe using water or air pressure that inflates the resin to perfectly fit inside the old pipe. Once the resin cures and hardens (usually after a few hours) and the liner is removed, a smooth, fitted and corrosion-resistant new pipe within a pipe is created.
When the process is complete, a final inspection is conducted to ensure the installation is sound.
Advantages of Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) Trenchless Pipe Rehabilitation
The pipe lining process is fairly straightforward; resulting in an impermeable layer that creates a perfect seal within the pipe. Other benefits of CIPP include:
